Easy Pose

You read that right! The “easy pose” is a basic sitting pose, and it is achieved by flexing your feet and crossing your legs over your feet. Your pelvis and back should align straight, and your hands should rest on your knees (your palms can be open or closed). This pose can be good for improving your posture and can mentally help you focus and relax your mind.

Downward Facing Dog

Downward facing dog is the yoga pose that is arguably the most famous, but how do you actually do it? In this pose, you will have both hands and feet on flat on the ground, with your body angled like a wide V. Your palms should be spread out, and your thighs should push back so that your spine feels elongated. Downward facing dog is very good for stretching your whole body and is often used in yoga practices as a pose to reset yourself.

Triangle Pose

The triangle pose is achieved by placing both feet flat on the ground. One hand should be placed below your knee (forming a triangle in the space between your arm and body), and the other arm should be straight in the air. This pose can be achieved on either side of the body and can be good for stretching your thighs and knees.

Cobra Pose

The cobra pose is a good stretch for your back and is achieved by putting your legs and feet flat on the floor, while raising your chest in the air. Your arms should be directly under your shoulders. Tip: if you want a deeper stretch, bend your back further.

Tree Pose

The tree pose will help you improve your balance and help strengthen your lower body. It can be done on either side of the body and is executed by standing on leg. The other leg’s foot should rest just above your knee, and your arms should be raised in the air with your hands formed in prayer hands, touching each other.
